There has been tons of progress with the Big and Little Crochet throw making. I've managed to work together my first 13 hexagons and have completed all of the hexagons and half hexagons to date. I'm pretty sure we'll be getting some instruction on how to piece more together and we should have a good third of the throw completed. It's going to be a beautiful piece when it's done and I've thoroughly enjoyed working on it so far.

I've really returned to crochet as my first love in terms of crafting. Papercraft took over fo...

On our You Tube channel today we have a cute simple little star pattern which you could use to make decorations for a home made style tree this year.

It's a versatile little decoration. Why not give it a go?

On Saturday I held a bonanza on my You Tube channel. I uploaded 13 videos in 12 hours! What a feat that was.  The reason for it was that I decided to review a selection of 12 craft kits for kids which are on sale at The Works for just £1 - £3 with most coming in at £1.  I wondered how good these kits could be for that money and just what aged kids they would be suitable for.

At the end of the 12 kit reviews where I actually made up one of each item I uploaded a round up and announced a giveaway of a selection of Th...

It's Friday so our haul video is live on our You Tube channel and this week we're looking at some fabulous yarns from Marriner.  Marriner were the only company which agreed to share the Ben's Beanies project on their Facebook wall and were super supportive of the campaign which is now flying away as a roaring success with over 300 hats made in the first week!

Crafty Little Things UK is sponsoring the challenge by providing administrative support but also hand made gifts and yarn gifts for people taking part. We also org...

As you may know I'm involved in my nephew Ben's charity and have been helping to arrange the Ben's Beanies challenge. Well the challenge has smashed its 3 month target in just 2 days and has moved on to more items besides beanies but is also aiming to make tons more than anticipated. Go check it out on Facebook, Ben's Beanies to find out more or get involved.

One of the things we're doing this weekend is having a speed challenge for both knitters and crocheters. Both are using a pattern for a simple beanie and are being...

This shopping bag is so easy to make, it's a pretty simple mesh and can be made smaller or bigger quite easily. It can also have the handles adapted easily to be a hand held, shoulder or across body strap if you wish.

It folds up really small to fit in a pocket or handbag and yet once you start filling it up it grows and holds lots of good stuff, whether that's shopping or beach stuff for holidays.

This used Marriner Yarns 100% craft cotton in cream which costs just £1.25 for 100gms. I used less than a ball for this who...

This gorgeous throw was from a pattern in Big and Little Crochet book 2 but the recommended yarn wasn't available anymore so I improvised with some fab chunky acrylic from Marriner Yarns and I was not disappointed with the result or the price. Marriner Chunky is just £1.25 for 100gms and I doubt that can be beaten.

Besides being the best value for yarn around, the lovely people at Marriner allowed us to post on their Facebook wall to share the Ben's Beanies project. We were super happy about that as we'd not been havin...

Join me for a chatty video flicking through the latest Simply Crochet magazine which I'm pretty sure was meant to be a papercrafting magazine. No worries though, it came with a b little freebie.

I've decided to take control of my You Tube channel and do a little bit of scheduling.  From now on my channel will feature crochet projects every Monday which will be uploaded at 7am.  So if you are a crochet lover and want to only watch crochet related videos then you know when to tune in. Better still subscribe to my channel (linked at the end of this post) and you'll never miss a thing.

My first Monday was a double whammy for you where I made both Big and Little Crochet hexagons from books 12 and 13.  So why no...
