This is a cute little project with a tutorial on how to make the hearts (small and large) over on our You Tube channel. Just CLICK HERE to go there now.

I bought these vibrant coloured DK Acrylic yarns from a local department store for just over £1 per 100gms and they are really fabulous and look great all together.

This garland/bunting could be used to decorate a room or office, to hang out in the garden or each heart used as an applique for any other project, crocheted or otherwise.

Great for Valentine's Day which is fa...

I had a real blitz of paper craft projects to bring in the new year which I blogged about on my paper craft blog at and also shared as tutorials on the Crafty Little Things UK You Tube Channel. I've embedded my favourite project here and included a gallery of the other projects below.

I thought I'd do a round up here as some of them will be used to package Crafty Little Things products in 2018 and some may even make it into our store as products so you might want to take a look. This week I'm sh...

Sadly a few days ago my 18 year old nephew Ben passed away due to complications arising from undiagnosed diabetes. Ben's last Facebook status was an appeal to everyone he knew to help him collect up items for the homeless through his involvement with a local community group. As he didn't get to finish this work which mattered so much to him, we as a family have carried on what Ben started and my contribution included making a pile of simple beanie hats to donate, using up yarn left over from other projects and the scra...

Here are a few links to help you, firstly to the You Tube video on our channel

Over on the paper craft blog and on our You Tube channel there is something special going on... we're uploading amaterish videos every day for 7 days and ending the series off with a giveaway.

Here's day one's card and an exclusive sneak peak of day two's.

To help us choose the best design for our Christmas Cheer event card we're putting out 7 simple, easy to make card designs which are perfect for batch making. Each one has a prototype which we show at the beginning of the video and then we work through a variation of t...

I'm on a bit of a roll with card making challenges this week so how about another one? This is pushing me out of my comfort zone of basic fold cards and I loved making it! Challenges really are worth taking part in if you just want a reason to craft or to improve skills.

This time, card making novice me, decided to have a go at something a bit more tricky so I opted for a diamond fold card and for a very first attempt I was thrilled with myself! No shame in being proud of something you've achieved or learned, no shame a...

If you haven't joined The Joy of Sets Facebook Group already then what are you waiting for? All you need is some Stampin' Up! stash, current or retired and a camera and you can join in with the fun.

Besides the stamp set albums where you can upload your stamp set themed creations any time you wish to inspire or amaze your fellow crafters there is a monthly challenge which sees anyone who wants to participate making a card which reflects in some way that month's birth stone - I won last month with my Ruby inspired card a...

I love that I can combine three of my passions into one so often when I'm making gifts for customers.

This recent make is a perfect example.  A pair of cute little crocheted newborn booties in a hand made box and set up for a really enjoyable photo shoot.

You may have seen versions of these crocodile stitch booties around on Pinterest but I could not find a pattern so I went ahead and made it up as I went along. I'm pretty sure that once you are familiar with making baby shoes and booties and you've learned to recognise...

Maybe I should have put this at the beginning but there is a method in my madness. I wanted to show a little of the hard work that goes into getting a business off the ground before thinking about how to start one up. A lot of people don't appreciate all of the elements involved in setting up a business and keeping it moving, making it grow and developing it. They see people who work from home and think it looks like an easy life. I just wanted to show that there's more to it than that before showing how to go about ge...

Following on from business blog number 5 about self belief I thought I'd add a few tips on Networking as blog number 6, the penultimate in this themed mini-series.

No man is an island as they say and this is true. We all have connections to someone or somewhere and when you're setting up or running a small business you need those connections just as much as large corporations need them, perhaps in some ways even more.

Working for your self and by yourself can be very isolating. Some people are fortunate enough to have t...
