I think I've shared a version of this lovely bunting with  you before but here's another one for you. Sometimes it's nice to expand on what you see as product descriptions in our store with a blog post. It gives our customer more information and lets other crafters in on how we did it so they can give it a go too maybe.

So this one is gorgeous and comes as a standard set of 4 x 3 inch cards which are backed with strong kraft card for strength and durability and then topped with a slightly smaller white card. The edges o...

The last Business Blog looked at which social media you should use and really said that to hit as wide a market as possible either directly or indirectly you should weave as many in as possible. The thing is, for the small business owner or sole trader or for someone who is not very adept at using the various social media platforms out there this can be a really difficult thing to do.

If you fall into this category and can not envisage learning to use social media (in this I include blogs, personal/business websites, Fa...

It is no secret that in the world of card makers I feel an unworthy participant. I marvel at the creations my fellow papercrafters put together with apparent ease and what must be some kind of divine inspiration. When I receive my monthly swaps I'm often left open mouthed with awe at the fabulousness that arrives through my door.

Here's the card that won and CLICK HERE for a link to the blog detailing how I made it and sharing the materials.

Rather than shy away from the card making challenges which the community present...

One fab thing about handmade gifts is that often they can be customised beyond what you may at first expect. At Crafty Little Things we really do go the extra mile with our customisable gift and special occasion packaging, making the box or bag almost as fabulous a gift as what is inside.

One of the ways we achieve this is by designing paper ourselves to use in making the box or bag. Whether we use stamps and inks to achieve this, watercolouring or if we design something digitally and print it for our customers we alway...

I had to make a cute gift box for a rather long amigurumi cat I'd been commissioned to make. Would you believe this one is 12 inches long and each of the triangular sides measures 5 inches? It's a whopper by any hand made gift box maker's standards! The cat by the way can be ordered for the standard £20 for a medium sized amigurumi project with a customised gift box like this one. Available in a range of colours to suit your feline tastes.

The cat pattern is my own made up after seeing similiar cats online on various bl...

Today I thought I'd share with you how I went about making this gorgeous wedding card for a customer. Me? Make a card for payment? Gosh that was a scary prospect but I was flattered that someone trusted my novice card making skills enough to commission my services and she was delighted with the end result so phew! add another string to the bow why not?

I started off with Stampin' Up! thick Very Vanilla cardstock base and using their normal weight Very Vanilla I made an insert just a quarter of an inch shorter all around...

This is a fantastic stash busting project to use up bits and bobs of yarn you have lying around and help you keep that craft space nice and tidy.

It starts as a simple flower circle and you just keep on going adding row after row finishing each colour row with the scalloped edge. This is super tactile and really bright and colourful and a great addition to a plain or neutral room. the back is a big circle in pink and it's stuffed with hollow fibre fill, nice and full to give it a lovely rounded muffin shape.

You could cr...

Hello again. Just a quick tip for you in this post. If you fancy scenting or fragrancing your cards or other papercraft products there is a super simple way to do it which lasts longer than spritzing with your perfume... and leaves more of your perfume for you of course.

Just take a fragranced wax melt and rub it onto your paper or card stock back side only and be sure it's not going to touch whatever you have inside so it's best to do this on a mat or layer or even on a mat and layered tag. We make melts so always have...

What do you do with your left over fragranced melted wax or your production mishaps?

One of the best things about candle making is that there is usually very little waste as mistakes can be remelted and repoured...taking care with the reheating and its effect on wax and fragrance and colouring of course. Our 'repours' are never sold but given to charity or burned off around the office as are some of our imperfects. However, this is hand made, we're not a factory, so imperfect as long as it's not unsafe or unsightly is...
