Another thing I've been doing over on www.craftylittleblog.com is getting into scrapbooking in a big way. I am really enjoying storing precious photos and memories in such a beautiful way and have made quite a few lay outs now which are shared in a play list on my You Tube channel

Go and check them out or just have a browse at what I've made so far in this gallery.

Thanks for dropping in as always.

I had a lovely influx of Big and Little Crochet books recently, receiving a free revised copy of book 4 (due to the pattern error in the original), my free book which was number 5 and my scheduled copies numbers 6 and 7. I also received more rose and slate yarn to work on more projects and a new colour was introduced with book 7, a kind of teal shade called Petrol. It's a gorgeous colour.

On top of all this I received a free gift of a little plastic container with all of the tools you need to crochet (besides hooks and...

This is a cute little project with a tutorial on how to make the hearts (small and large) over on our You Tube channel. Just CLICK HERE to go there now.

I bought these vibrant coloured DK Acrylic yarns from a local department store for just over £1 per 100gms and they are really fabulous and look great all together.

This garland/bunting could be used to decorate a room or office, to hang out in the garden or each heart used as an applique for any other project, crocheted or otherwise.

Great for Valentine's Day which is fa...

I had a real blitz of paper craft projects to bring in the new year which I blogged about on my paper craft blog at www.craftylittleblog.com and also shared as tutorials on the Crafty Little Things UK You Tube Channel. I've embedded my favourite project here and included a gallery of the other projects below.

I thought I'd do a round up here as some of them will be used to package Crafty Little Things products in 2018 and some may even make it into our store as products so you might want to take a look. This week I'm sh...

I'm on a bit of a roll with card making challenges this week so how about another one? This is pushing me out of my comfort zone of basic fold cards and I loved making it! Challenges really are worth taking part in if you just want a reason to craft or to improve skills.

This time, card making novice me, decided to have a go at something a bit more tricky so I opted for a diamond fold card and for a very first attempt I was thrilled with myself! No shame in being proud of something you've achieved or learned, no shame a...

If you haven't joined The Joy of Sets Facebook Group already then what are you waiting for? All you need is some Stampin' Up! stash, current or retired and a camera and you can join in with the fun.

Besides the stamp set albums where you can upload your stamp set themed creations any time you wish to inspire or amaze your fellow crafters there is a monthly challenge which sees anyone who wants to participate making a card which reflects in some way that month's birth stone - I won last month with my Ruby inspired card a...

I love that I can combine three of my passions into one so often when I'm making gifts for customers.

This recent make is a perfect example.  A pair of cute little crocheted newborn booties in a hand made box and set up for a really enjoyable photo shoot.

You may have seen versions of these crocodile stitch booties around on Pinterest but I could not find a pattern so I went ahead and made it up as I went along. I'm pretty sure that once you are familiar with making baby shoes and booties and you've learned to recognise...

I think I've shared a version of this lovely bunting with  you before but here's another one for you. Sometimes it's nice to expand on what you see as product descriptions in our store with a blog post. It gives our customer more information and lets other crafters in on how we did it so they can give it a go too maybe.

So this one is gorgeous and comes as a standard set of 4 x 3 inch cards which are backed with strong kraft card for strength and durability and then topped with a slightly smaller white card. The edges o...

One fab thing about handmade gifts is that often they can be customised beyond what you may at first expect. At Crafty Little Things we really do go the extra mile with our customisable gift and special occasion packaging, making the box or bag almost as fabulous a gift as what is inside.

One of the ways we achieve this is by designing paper ourselves to use in making the box or bag. Whether we use stamps and inks to achieve this, watercolouring or if we design something digitally and print it for our customers we alway...

What do you do with your left over fragranced melted wax or your production mishaps?

One of the best things about candle making is that there is usually very little waste as mistakes can be remelted and repoured...taking care with the reheating and its effect on wax and fragrance and colouring of course. Our 'repours' are never sold but given to charity or burned off around the office as are some of our imperfects. However, this is hand made, we're not a factory, so imperfect as long as it's not unsafe or unsightly is...
