There has been tons of progress with the Big and Little Crochet throw making. I've managed to work together my first 13 hexagons and have completed all of the hexagons and half hexagons to date. I'm pretty sure we'll be getting some instruction on how to piece more together and we should have a good third of the throw completed. It's going to be a beautiful piece when it's done and I've thoroughly enjoyed working on it so far.

I've really returned to crochet as my first love in terms of crafting. Papercraft took over fo...

Since I separated out my papercraft from my other craft on a different blog over at and also on Facebook with my papercrafting being on Crafty Little Paper Things I sometimes forget to cross reference back to here, the heart and home of everything.

So I just thought I'd update you with a couple of posts on what's going on over in my papercrafting world.

The first thing I wanted to share was my Christmas prep. I'm notorious for leaving things to the last minute so was delighted when Fiona from Th...

I do love to share with my crafty people anything new that appears to make crafting more simple and precise (especially if like me precision is a bad word for you).  So here is a fab new tool from Stampin' Up! which is going to make perfect stamping every time an absolute breeze. I've blogged about it over on our Paper craft blog so won't repeat myself here I'll just share a little link to that post and send you on your way, it is great though, so do go and have a look especially if you batch make cards or invitations...

Over on our papercraft blog at and on our You Tube channel we are hosting a craft fayre extravaganza! Perhaps that's a little OTT, but we are posting a series of 7 back to back, that's one a day, easy papercraft projects perfect for a craft fayre stand/stall.

They are easy and quick to make projects which mostly use up off cuts and so are really economical and great for busting the stash if you like to have an end of year purge.

So why not pop over and check out what we're getting up to?

Over on our You Tube channel and our Paper crafting blog we have been having a run of Halloween makes leading up to the day itself on Tuesday.

It's a busy time for us and we've shared how to's on several of our commissioned projects. Including those below.

Why not go and take a look at our channel, it's a very new channel so we're just getting a feel for uploading and are far from slick video producers but felt that rather than not share the content we are creating because we're waiting for time to edit it, we'd just pu...

If you haven't joined The Joy of Sets Facebook Group already then what are you waiting for? All you need is some Stampin' Up! stash, current or retired and a camera and you can join in with the fun.

Besides the stamp set albums where you can upload your stamp set themed creations any time you wish to inspire or amaze your fellow crafters there is a monthly challenge which sees anyone who wants to participate making a card which reflects in some way that month's birth stone - I won last month with my Ruby inspired card a...

I love that I can combine three of my passions into one so often when I'm making gifts for customers.

This recent make is a perfect example.  A pair of cute little crocheted newborn booties in a hand made box and set up for a really enjoyable photo shoot.

You may have seen versions of these crocodile stitch booties around on Pinterest but I could not find a pattern so I went ahead and made it up as I went along. I'm pretty sure that once you are familiar with making baby shoes and booties and you've learned to recognise...

I think I've shared a version of this lovely bunting with  you before but here's another one for you. Sometimes it's nice to expand on what you see as product descriptions in our store with a blog post. It gives our customer more information and lets other crafters in on how we did it so they can give it a go too maybe.

So this one is gorgeous and comes as a standard set of 4 x 3 inch cards which are backed with strong kraft card for strength and durability and then topped with a slightly smaller white card. The edges o...

It is no secret that in the world of card makers I feel an unworthy participant. I marvel at the creations my fellow papercrafters put together with apparent ease and what must be some kind of divine inspiration. When I receive my monthly swaps I'm often left open mouthed with awe at the fabulousness that arrives through my door.

Here's the card that won and CLICK HERE for a link to the blog detailing how I made it and sharing the materials.

Rather than shy away from the card making challenges which the community present...
