Super Tactile Easy Crochet Cushion

July 10, 2017

This is a fantastic stash busting project to use up bits and bobs of yarn you have lying around and help you keep that craft space nice and tidy.

It starts as a simple flower circle and you just keep on going adding row after row finishing each colour row with the scalloped edge. This is super tactile and really bright and colourful and a great addition to a plain or neutral room. the back is a big circle in pink and it's stuffed with hollow fibre fill, nice and full to give it a lovely rounded muffin shape.

You could create this just as easily in  a square or even pentagon shape. They'd be a great addition to a nursery or play room as bright shaped cushions, providing not only comfort colour and texture but also a learning opportunity to chat through the colours and shapes with your little ones.

This used a mixture of left over yarns but all were Double Knit (DK), you may spot some classic Stylecraft shades in there and some Marriner and maybe the odd Rico too. I used a 5mm hook and added an increase to each round after every 6 DC (SC UK in terms).

We do make these to order and can use shades to suit your decor, a two tone one would look effective or an ombre effect would be cute. You may spot the odd one off for sale in our online store or on social media from time to time too. So keep an eye out if this is your kind of thing.

Thanks as ever for dropping in and we are getting there with those crochet tutorials for absolute beginners videos.
