Big and Little Crochet Review Issues 1&2

April 4, 2018

I thought I'd share my thoughts on Big and Little Crochet the new subscription crochet series from Hachette Partworks.

I've waited for my delivery patiently and been worried by some pretty negative reviews but as you'll see I'm quite happy with it and think it's good value... but go and watch for the full details.

I also have a little crochet along test of one of the motif patterns for the throw which you will make eventually as you use the materials and pattern in each of the books as they arrive.

There are useful free gifts to be had which come with various books along the way and the first of these, a set of aluminium crochet hooks, comes with your first bundle of issues 1 & 2.

The only downside I point out in the video is that if you wanted to purchase some of the freebie yarns there is no branding on them so it would be difficult if you fall in love with a colour. Maybe they will give us a clue with that later on.

I'd definitely recommend it as a lovely collection of reasonably priced patterns with easy to follow instructions maybe more suited at a crocheter with some experience if not tons. There are useful mini tutorials and tips though so with practice these should eventually help a total beginner to start creating wonderful things.
