Marriner Yarns Haul & Flowers for Louise Update

September 21, 2018

It's Friday so our haul video is live on our You Tube channel and this week we're looking at some fabulous yarns from Marriner.  Marriner were the only company which agreed to share the Ben's Beanies project on their Facebook wall and were super supportive of the campaign which is now flying away as a roaring success with over 300 hats made in the first week!

Crafty Little Things UK is sponsoring the challenge by providing administrative support but also hand made gifts and yarn gifts for people taking part. We also organised and hosted a speed challenge and on Wednesday this week we hosted a Knitting and Crochet themed Facebook live quiz which was great fun. Some of the Ben's Beanies members had husbands asking how a knitting and crochet quiz had caused so much hilarity but it really was fun and something that will be repeated.

Most of the yarns we donate are purchased by us from Marriner because they offer great value, great versatility and a great service.  We love passing on our love of the brand and our support for a UK based independent.  Why not pay Marriner a visit and check out their expanding range which at the moment includes a couple of guest lines from Bernat besides their own fantastic brand at super affordable prices.

We are in no way sponsored or paid to promote the brand and all of our yarns are purchased at full price in the same way as anyone else purchases them but we do like to show appreciation for brands which do help to further good causes for no gain and with no strings attached.  It seems pretty rare these days that anyone does anything just for goodwill or shares something just because they really love it and want to recommend it because of that and not for gain.  The sincerity has gone from a lot of reviewing and haul videos for us because so often there is a hook to them and we know that people raising the profile of brands often never mentioned using them before the sponsorship deal came through, it's so fake and when you go to social media for reality and an escape from fake TV it can become pretty tiresome pretty fast.

So, be assured that what we say we mean and we say it because we use it not because we're paid to.

We also rave about some bargain scissors in the haul video and update on our final offering to help DevonLouise from Instagram with her crocheted flower request to help with her handmade wedding theme.

Have a great weekend! Why not use it to spread some genuine, unsponsored love for a brand that you go back to time and again because of good service, or quality product.
